Christopher M. Mann is an associate with Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of business law, litigation, estate planning, tax and health care law.
Mr. Mann uses his business experience to regularly assist individual and corporate clients with the creation and structuring of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, and has guided clients through a variety of business planning issues, including mergers, acquisitions, liquidations, general financial issues, corporate governance and purchases and sales of company interests. He also has a great deal of experience in working with owners of closely held businesses to plan for succession of corporate ownership.
Mr. Mann works closely with clients to create estate plans that maximize the tax efficient transfer of wealth to successive generations of family members. In doing so, Mr. Mann is regularly involved in the creation of wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, business succession planning, lifetime giving agreements, financial and health care powers of attorney, family partnerships, and charitable trusts.
In the area of tax planning, Mr. Mann provides counsel and advice to corporations and shareholders, individuals, fiduciaries and beneficiaries on a variety of tax matters, including tax planning and compliance, and assists them with the preparation of tax returns for trusts, charitable foundations, and individuals.
Mr. Mann's litigation practice includes commercial litigation and financial services litigation, and he also has significant experience practicing in the areas of medical malpractice defense and insurance coverage.
In the health care area, Mr. Mann works with health care professionals and practices in a variety of areas, including the formation, merger, and sale of medical practices, shareholder agreements, Stark Law and other regulatory compliance, employment contracts, and corporate governance matters.
Mr. Mann earned his J.D. from Wayne State University in 2004 and his B.A. in general business administration from Michigan State University in 2000. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association, the Oakland County Bar Association New Lawyers Committee, and Association for Corporate Growth. |
