Dennis B. Schultz is a Member of Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial, business and construction litigation.
Mr. Schultz represents owners, general contractors, construction managers and subcontractors in the negotiation and drafting of contract documents and settlement of claims on a variety of construction projects, including design, product and system performance, contractor performance and other contract disputes.
Mr. Schultz has served as lead counsel in litigation on major construction projects, including both public and private projects such as office complexes, waste water treatment plants, industrial processing facilities, manufacturing facilities, automobile manufacturing plants and major healthcare projects, which such dispute amounts ranging from $100,000 to $35 million. His experience includes arbitration and litigation in State and Federal courts in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, Washington, D.C. and Colorado.
He earned his J.D., cum laude from Michigan State University (formerly Detroit College of Law) in 1977, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Detroit College of Law Review. He earned his B.S. from Wayne State University in 1970 and graduated with Honors. Prior to his legal career, he spent over 10 years in construction contracting and real estate development.
Mr. Schultz is a member of the American Bar Association and State Bar of Michigan. He is also a Member of the Construction Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Real Estate, and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in all courts in the State of Michigan and before the U.S. District Court in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. |
