sadler Sadler Publishes Article on Green Contracts

Susan J. Sadler a Managing Member of Dawda, Mann, Mulcahy & Sadler, PLC recently published an article in the Michigan Bar Journal's October 2009 edition on Environmental Law.  Sadler's article entitled, "Got Green?" discusses the use of green contracts in today's marketplace.

Ms. Sadler is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional (AP) and earned such a designation from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in conjunction with the U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  LEED is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings.  A LEED Accredited Professional (AP) distinguishes professionals who have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles.  According to the GBCI website, Sadler is one of nine attorneys in Michigan to earn the LEED AP certification.

Ms. Sadler has over 28 years experience providing counsel on compliance with a full range of environmental laws, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Wetland Regulations, Endangered Species Act, and state environmental statutes and permitting requirements.  She frequently defends corporations in administrative proceedings and environmental litigation brought by citizens groups, Attorney General Offices and the Federal Justice Department.

Ms. Sadler earned her J.D. from the University of Toledo in 1980 and a B.A. from Albion College in 1977.
